Philippines Missions Trip!

From May 18th-27th, the church went on our first missions trip to the Philippines with the church body. There were 8 of us who went from Okinawa, and we joined the team from Korea once we got into IloIlo.

Our trip to sum it all up, it was a very blessed time getting to know the people in the Philippines and ministering to the kids on Jintotolo Island.

Our 2nd day in the Philippines, we went to another island called Gimaras (I'm just spelling it out like how it sounds so it is probably not the right spelling..please forgive me).
They were having a mango festival there where we got to eat all you can eat mangos for 30mins.
I actually enjoyed eating mango in the Philippines!
Afterwards we went swimming at a beautiful beach.
The trees and the flowers in that area were beautiful as well.
On Thursday, we drove about 2hours from IloIlo to Roxas City and took another boat for about 3hours to Jintotolo Island and spent the next 3 1/2 days there ministering to the kids.
The church building where we gathered.

We were expecting about 300kids maximum to show up, but kids just kept on coming and by the end, we had over 600kids! But praise the Lord, He provided everything we needed to host all these kids!! And this picture only shows half the kids that showed up.
This is me & Rie's class the 1st day of VBS.
Making origami balloons.

The girl in the middle, Indai, is the first kid I talked to in Jintotolo.
She was watching us jump in the water right after we had arrived at the island.
She is an excellent swimmer!
Just enjoying every bit of the time on this island paradise.

Thank you everyone for your prayers and support! We had a very blessed time.
